What a strange day!!! We had so many people in the shop--new people, faces we had never seen before--but everyone was browsing. "Just looking" were the words we heard over and over again. Actually it is really nice that we have become a place that people feel comfortable just coming in and seeing what is new and soaking of the wonderful, pleasant atmosphere. We love to see friendly faces. I also met several people today that had never heard of Nutmeg Lodge and didn't know that Martinsburg had a fabric shop. Oh well, it is also nice to know that there are still people out there to learn about the shop.

We have had a large notions order arrive and it seems that our distributors are finally getting back to normal. It is not unusual to have a drop in merchandise from our distributors because of end-of-year inventory, etc. But this year the addition of one distributor moving and another implementing a huge new computer system really put a crimp in our style for ordering and getting things delivered in a timely fashion. Finally all of those woes seem to be behind us and we can guarantee you that orders will arrive on time---yeah!!!!

Cathy has been busily cutting fat quarters and making beautiful bundles of all the great collections that have arrived. She has also pulled together bundles of 20's perfect for Turning Twenty quilts. Come in and see these gorgeous stacks of fat quarters---you really will want several of them.
