What great time we had this weekend at the QU Show. It is always a wonderful show in every respect--the organization is percision, the vendors are outstanding, and the quilts are unbelievable. For all of you who were able to make the show, you know what I mean. If you didn't make the show this year, you should try and not miss it next year. The quilts really were wonderful. There were several I kept stopping by to see one more time. Antoinette and I really enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces. We have done this show so many times now that we really do have a lot of friends you seek us out and enjoy all the goodies in the Nutmeg Lodge Booth.
Now it is time to prepare for our Anniversary, Christmas in July and then Quilt Odyssey. Somehow I don't think I will get much rest and relaxation until August. Oh well that is what I thrive on.
I am putting together some fun things to get us excited about Nutmeg Lodge's fifth anniversary. It hardly seems like five years ago that I was getting ready to open the doors. I am planning some things to show my appreciation to all of you who have supported the shop and offered your friendship over these years.
We still have room in our Camp Thimbleberries. Don't miss this fun-filled time.
Just a reminder if you are fairly new to nutmeglodge.com--the blog is udated on Sunday night and Wednesday night. This is where I try and give everyone the latest news on new arrivals, classes that are still coming up, and any event that you really need information on. You can click on the EMAIL button above to ask questions, make comments and request information on placing an order. For orders, if you will email your request and give me a phone number, someone from the shop will call you the next day to process your order. Or you can call the shop and talk to someone about your order. We love hearing from you.
There were some new fabrics that came in this week--a new panel from Sandy Gervais with coordinating fabrics that are very retro--I will tell you more about these on Wednesday.
See you soon, Barbara

Hey Barb and all. I have been busy checking out quilt shops across the southern states. Update for those traveling is check out staunton Va. the shop is in an old train depot, very charming, lots of nice fabric and samples. Next stop was Knoxville TN. at Mammaw's Thimble, very large selection and great fabric over 3500 bolts, but nicely displayed. Owner is a little overwhelming but she tried hard. Third stop was in Paducah Kentucky at the Museum, was very nice smaller than I expected, and mixed quality, but worth the trip if you are in the area. Next stop was Little Rock Arkansas @ the Stitching Post. Don't bother stopping.Next stop was in Henryetta OK, turned out to be more of an Antique /quilt shop but I was able to buy some feed sacks at the Tiger Mountain Quilt Barn. And the last stop was at the best shop so far it was in Oklahoma City OK at the Oklahoma Quilt=works. Awesome shop, great selection of regional fabrics and anything your heart could desire. Miss you all, and appreciate our Nutmeg lodge more and more each day. TTFN, Susan
