It seems I write the same thing every week--Spring, Winter, cold, snow? Oh well, let's be thankful we have something fun to keep us busy while the weather rolls by. I went to Elkins this weekend to attend the meeting of the West Virginia Quilt Association. What a lovely group of women who hosted this event--the Log Cabin Quilters and the membership as a whole is wonderful. Of course, they all seemed to like what Nutmeg Lodge brought to sell and so many of them already knew about the shop and I think that we will be seeing more visitors from across the mountains. The drive was delightful and the whole trip was great!!!
Once again, new things have arrived and I don't want you to miss out on the great new pieces that are gracing the shelves. We have all 31 pieces of Whimsical's new line, Harmony. Absolutely fantastic is the only word to describe this great new collection. All of those Whimsical colors that we have come to love and a great variety of textures. The girls at the shop have knocked themselves out getting this cut into fat quarters and bundles are ready to go as well as yardage.
In the sale department we still have a number of bolts that are priced at 30% off when you finish the bolt---they all have under 2 yards left on the bolt.
We are also gathering names and addresses for a new mailing list. If you would like to be included in this list for future announcements, please email, call or come by to add your name to the list. And since you are getting this mention by way of the "internet", you can also let us know your email address as we are contemplating an email list as well. And to reassure all of you, we do not share these lists with anyone.
In an effort to get all our "nooks and crannies" really clean we will be putting various items on mark-down in the back room. Come in and check out these goodies from time-to-time. Sometimes we find something that needs to go, it goes out for sale and is gone before I can get on the blog to let everyone know.
And, last but not least, the next show coming up is Berryville. There is information on the website and we also have information at the shop about this wonderful show. Take care, stay warm, and keep busy with all your quilting projects. Barbara
