NOTES FROM THE LODGE Friday, August 8, 2008

Yes you read that right, I am writing to the blog on Friday. Because tomorrow morning I am going on VACATION!!!!! My sister, her family, myself, and my family have rented two houses in Myrtle Beach and we will be spending 7 days have nothing but fun. We have not done a totally family vacation for several years and everyone is looking forward to it.

While I am away, the mice will be playing next week. Call or stop by to find out what is going on with our two delightful mice. Don't miss the fun!!!

Nothing really new at Nutmeg Lodge. But there is still plenty of time to get that dorm quilt done and/or start on that Christmas List.

If you have a guy or gal heading off to college or university, pick up a stack of fat quarters, ask for our dorm quilt pattern or 3,6,9 pattern--both are free. Get the project finished fast and send it off to the quilter (if you don't have one, we have names and numbers for you to get in touch with). Don't forget these projects should not be labor intensive and if quilted nice and tight will hold up to extreme use and commercial laundering.

And that Christmas List? Pick up a couple of panels, a few pieces of yardage and you have a great start to getting checks off that list.

When I return, I will be letting you know about a sew in we will be sponsoring to help the Martinsburg Women's Club sew stockings for the Salvation Army.

I will post the blog next week at its usual time on Sunday. See you soon----Barbara
