NOTES FROM THE LODGE Sunday, August 17, 2008

Home from the Beach!!! We had such a grand time---the weather was wonderful, the surf was so pleasant it was like a big bathtub, the laughs were side splitting, food, kids, our houses, it was all the total package. Now tanner than before, a lot more laid back and, sadly, a pound more, I am back to work!!!!

Everyone said that it was fun at Nutmeg Lodge while I was away. I'm so glad that you enjoyed all the mice had to offer on Friday and Saturday. If you have not come in for that event while I have been away---stay tuned in the future. I will be leaving town again and, as usual, the mice will be playing.

While I was away we did get a lot more Kona Cotton. For all of you embroidery enthusiasts, this is a lovely fabric to embroider on. We also stocked up on other colors so if you are looking for something specific, stop by and check it out.

Also, the new environmentally friendly batting from Quilter's Dream is selling well. This is a great opportunity for all of us to make a difference. Each package tells the user how many liter bottles went into making a particular size batt. You really can't get greener than that. And, speaking of batting--we now have 18 inch batting on a roll---the perfect size for table runners and place mats. This could be your fast track to Christmas presents!!!!

I have to say that I am a little out of the loop about everything that is going on. Call or stop by to check out the classes that still have to run or to get inspired with a new project.

See you soon!!! Barbara
