NOTES FROM THE LODGE Sunday, March 22, 2009

What a great show!!! It appeared that the economy is fine with all the shopping that was going on. And what a great group of women who put on this show---I can't say enough about all of them. They feed us breakfast and lunch, help out and spell us when we need a break, make sure that they shop in all of our booths, and treat us like we are family. This was the third year I have been in this show and it is one of my most fun events of the year. The other great thing, my friend Candy Bell invited me to stay with her and we had a delightful time. She is just the best and took me to her ballroom dance studio---what a blast. Of course, you know that I am now trying to find one on our area--if anyone knows where such a thing is please let me know, oh yes and come with me because it is the best ever!!!!

A busy week at Nutmeg Lodge. First we have the Rotary Mixer on Tuesday night. We would love to see you all at this event. $15.00 admission for wines and cheeses from around the world. The admission goes to support all of the great programs that the Martinsburg Rotary Club supports. 5:00-7:00 p.m. See you there!!!

No more shows until after Easter---we will be sprucing up the shop for the Mixer event and showing off our Spring look. I am also going to try and get the new class schedule pulled together. Hopefully, we will have some things that you really want to learn and make your quilting journey more intense.

Don't forget our food basket for Loaves and Fishes---cell phones---and eyeglasses. Even though it is now officially Spring and the weather is improving daily, the needs of others continues and we must not forget them.

See you soon---Barbara
